  11. KBBS is now SHAREWARE--try it before you buy it  and share it so
  12. that others can try it, too.  You have our permission to copy and
  13. share this software with others so long as you include all of the
  14. files and you do not charge a fee for our software,  except for a
  15. reasonable fee for copying, providing a diskette, or a membership
  16. fee to access your computer service or BBS.

  18. The  SHAREWARE  version  of  KBBS (4.0.x) is like our commercial
  19. version, but it has many new features so that it is easy to setup
  20. and run.   Some features are limited to REGISTERED users, but the
  21. SHAREWARE version  will allow you to try out our software and see
  22. for yourself how it might be helpful for you before you buy it!

  24. The  SHAREWARE  version  does not provide as many features as the
  25. registered  version.   Through out this manual, features that are
  26. not supported in the SHAREWARE version are explained along with a
  27. notice that the REGISTERED version is required.

  29. SHAREWARE  is  not  FREE.   It is a method of allowing you to try
  30. software before you buy it.   If  you  like our software, and you
  31. continue  to  use it after 30 days, you are expected to REGISTER.
  32. To assist you in registering our software,  we  have  included  a
  33. section "License and Registration"  which includes forms for each
  34. type of use and registration.  After KBBS has received 255 calls
  35. it will cease to operate (shareware/demo version).  Then you will
  36. have to register if you want to continue using our software.

  38. We encourage you to REGISTER your copy of KBBS  so that you have
  39. more  features  and  so  that  we can continue to support you and
  40. other KBBS users.   Our  registration fee is very reasonable and
  41. helps so that we can afford to support and upgrade our software.

  43. If you have difficulty with our software, please read this manual
  44. before you ask for our technical support.   All users can receive
